There are many undeniable benefits of using an electric razor. Therefore, it makes sense that they’re getting more and more popular amongst men and ladies. I’m certainly one of them. Unfortunately, I’ve always been suffering from razor bumps since I have extremely sensitive skin. As a result of that, trying an electric shaver for the first time was like a miracle to me. For the first time in my life I actually didn’t have razor burns and skin irritation afterwards. I found out that using an electric razor with a natural shaving cream helped me a lot to keep my skin moist and smooth. That’s mainly the reason I wanted to answer the question: what is the best electric razor for women? And share the list of my favourite electric shavers.

LumaRx Women’s Foil Shaver
LumaRx is a pretty new foil shaver that has a few quite advanced features. That’s why it caught my eye in the first place. Come on, not many electric shavers have a moisturizing strip that apply oil to skin while shaving. That’s probably the reason why it leaves skin so smooth and soft. It also has flexible foils that let you get closer to that hair and cut them. I know that often electric shavers are scary as it seems that they will cut your skin, however LumaRx has round tips that make your heart feel at ease. It’s simple to use and doesn’t cause unwanted irritation. In addition to that, comes with a 2-year warranty.
Pros
- Hypoallergenic foils contribute towards close shave
- Comes with a moisturizing strip that applies almond oil to your skin
- Waterproof, therefore you can use it in the shower
- Cuts even flat lying hair
- Comes with a bag, therefore easy to carry around
- Doesn’t scrape or pinch skin
Cons
- Runs only for 30 minutes when cordless
- Can irritate underarm skin if not used proper
Final Thoughts
I must admit, this electric shaver seems like a piece of perfection with its features. I don’t think there is anything to complain about. However, the price is a bit higher than the one you would pay for a usual razor or electric shaver. You’ll use it for a long time though. After all, its features seem to speak for themselves.
Panasonic ES2207P
This electric shaver is the best seller on Amazon and that already says a lot about the product. Its price is very low for a gadget like that but it still seems to do its job beautifully. The ladies’ shaver comes with hypo-allergenic razor blades and foil. They protect your skin from unwanted irritation and makes shaving pleasurable even on sensitive areas of your body. I truly like this shaver for its price and effectiveness. You can use it both in the shower and in dry conditions. In addition to that, it also works as a trimmer. What else can you ask from a shaver? Probably nothing.
Pros
- It’s sturdy
- Has hypo-allergenic razor blades
- Can be used both dry and wet
- Easy to clean, all you need to do is pop the head off
- Doesn’t cause skin irritation
Cons
- Could give a closer shave
- You’ll have to run over the same patch of skin a few times
- Doesn’t warn when completely loses charge
Final Thoughts
I think this electric razor is very good for its price. It doesn’t cause any irritations and works well even on sensitive areas. However, it’s more suitable for quick touch ups since it doesn’t give a close shave. If you want to have smooth skin, you’ll probably need to spend some time, going over the same area repeatedly to get that hairless smooth skin. All in all, it’s a very attractive choice for its price.

Philips SatinShave Prestige
First of all, I’m a big fan of Philips hair removal devices. Whoever is designing them, they’re doing it right. Second of all, the device I’m about to represent is pretty cool. The first two things that I find useful and interesting are 5 accessories and battery indicator light. With this electric shaver, you know when it’s running out of charge and accessories help you to make best use of the time you have, because you can reach every inch of your skin. In addition to that, like most of the other Philips devices, this one has extra protection for your skin. It comes with rounded pearl-tip trimmer that will simply save your skin from any unnecessary irritations.
Pros
- Can be used both wet and dry
- Has a battery indicator light that tells when the shaver needs to be recharged
- Comes with a travel pouch, efficiency cap, soft glide cap and shaving head comb
- Has rounded pearl-tip trimmer and safety bars that protect skin from irritation
- Ergonomic grip makes it a comfortable gadget
- Offers a close shave, however not as close as a razor does
- Efficiency cap helps to shave underarms quite well
Cons
- It’s possible that you may need to go over the same place a couple times
- Takes quite a lot of time to shave
Final Thoughts
I have a lovely friend who has this electric shaver and she recommended it to me. She’s very happy with her choice and absolutely adores the design.
Using Men’s Electric Razors? Why Not?
I’ve tried a lot of things in my life and one of them was men’s electric shavers. I’ve never could understand the reason why they should be used by men only. These electric razors are built to achieve the closest shave possible since men actually need to shave their faces and keeping them clean is extra important. When I first tried my boyfriend’s electric shaver, I was surprised by how efficient it was and what the results were. My legs looked like they’ve been waxed. They were hairless and smooth. I think a few days later, I pretty much stole it and asked him to buy himself a new one. Recommended: Read More About Shaving
Panasonic ES-LA63-S Arc4
That’s the electric shaver that I’ve stolen from my boyfriend. It’s a wet and dry razor, therefore you can use it with or without foam. In addition to that, it has a pivoting head which I found to be extra useful around my knees. It has micro-thin foils that help to lift hair and cut them from the base. That results in a close shave I’ve been babbling about. It also comes with nanotech blades that ensure the close cut. Additionally, it has a killer motor that shaves at a speed of 14,000 cycles per minute. Finally, it has a LCD that shows the shaving functions and status of battery. They’re quite handy.
Pros
- Has a pivoting head that reaches all corners of your body
- Razor motor helps to shave at speed of 14,000 cycles per minute
- Micro-thin foils help to lift hair and cut them
- You can use it both dry and wet
- Very close shave and doesn’t irritate skin
- About 45 minutes of shaving on a single charge
- Has a cleaning mode that significantly eases up the cleaning process
- You won’t need to change blades for a year if not two
- It’s light, therefore easy to carry around
Cons
- Constant charging can be annoying
- Can be quite loud
- You will have to use a trimmer first if your hair gets too
Final Thoughts
This electric razor is super helpful in my life. The only disadvantage that I see is the price. However, I do believe that the price serves the quality.

Braun Series 7 790cc
This electric razor is the first one that I see that comes with an actual cleaning station. I must admit, it’s quite impressive since it contains an alcoholic liquid that cleans up all the stubble that’s left after shaving. The shaver is constantly lubricated and pretty much feels like new every day. However, is it really necessary? I wouldn’t be so sure. There are many electric shavers that are delivering as good shaving results even though they’re only being washed with soap and water. Do you want to pay extra for the cleaning station? It’s up to you. However, this shaver has an impressive feature as it can read how hairy the part that you’re shaving is and adjust power according to it. That’s simply great, because it saves power when not needed and helps you to avoid skin irritation.
Pros
- Comes with a cleaning station that gets rid of all the stubble in the razor
- Comes with sensors that make out how dense your hair is and adapts accordingly
- Is made of 4 different blades that help to cut hair in fewer strokes
- Battery lasts for 50 minutes after being charged
- Can be used in the shower
- It’s super quick at shaving
- Shaves as close as a razor
- Cleaning cartridges cost only around $4 each
- Absolutely great for sensitive skin due to its power modes
Cons
- You’ll need to buy cleaning cartridges every 4-6 months
- Takes quite a lot of space compared to other shavers
- Not so easy to carry it around or travel with
- It’s expensive
Final Thoughts
I know that some people struggle with cleaning their razors. Therefore, this product is just for them. The cleaning station that this device comes with, makes it super easy to clean it. It’s suitable even for the laziest. In addition to that, this beauty can attack any type of hair and most probably causes the least amount of irritation amongst all razors. If you have very sensitive skin, this could be the shaver you need. Even though this device will certainly last long, you still need to make up your mind whether you want to spend such an amount of money on a device like this one. If you’re lucky, you can get it with a discount. Here is a link to a discounted Braun Series 7 790cc on Amazon.
Panasonic ES8103S Arc3
I think Panasonic Es8103S Arc3 is definitely used by a lot of men for its lovely features and very affordable middle range price. This little beauty has nano polished blades that cut hair at a 30 degree angle. As a result, you get a close shave that causes no irritation. In addition to that, you can put the shaver into a cleaning mode that helps to get rid of stubble easier. Overall, Panasonic ES8103S Arc3 has quite a few built-in smart technologies that improve shaving procedure.
Pros
- Has a flexible pivoting head
- Nanotech blades ensure close shave
- Easy to wash and doesn't take long to do it
- LCD display shows battery life and cleaning reminders
- Comes with a travel pouch
- Motor makes 13,000 cycles per minute, therefore is fast at shaving
- You can use it both dry and wet
- Holds charge very well
Cons
- Doesn’t offer as a close shave as razor does
- Takes quite some time to get a smooth shave
- Blades only last for about 2 months
- Cannot be used while plugged in
Final Thoughts
Panasonic ES8103S Arc3 is an affordable shaver that has quite a few smart technologies that help to achieve an overall beautiful shave. Panasonic ES2216PC
This Panasonic shaver has specifically been designed for ladies’ curves. It has a pivoting head and 4 floating blades that help to reach all parts of your body and shave hair. I think the price of this electric razor is what it makes it so attractive. It’s cheap and is specifically built for women. Therefore, you can use it on legs, underarms, bikini line, etc. It also comes with a trimming attachment which can be of big importance when dealing with bikini area.
Pros
- Can use it both dry and wet
- Has a pivoting head with hypo-allergenic blades
- Doesn’t irritate leg skin
- It’s cheap
- Goes smooth over curved areas, therefore great for womanly figures
Cons
- Possible mild irritations and burns in armpits
- Not a close shave
- Doesn’t work as well when not fully charged
Final Thoughts
I think this device is good for touchups in case you’re already removing your hair with a laser or epilator and just want to get rid of that extra hair. It doesn’t provide very close shave and can cause mild irritation in more sensitive parts. However, it’s cheap and does the job. I think it’s the best electric razor for women who are not going to use this device as the main tool for hair removal.
Electric Shaver by JTrim SilkTouch
I wanted to add another cheap and yet of okayish quality electric razor to this list. That’s why I’m including this little baby. I think it’s a fairly simple device that comes with a 1 Year Warranty which is great for such a low price! It also has a trimming attachment which can be of use before shaving. JTrim SilkTouch doesn’t claim that this razor has any superior features but it seems that it does the job.
Pros
- Gives a close shave
- Easy to hold and carry around
- Very cheap
Cons
- Not good for bikini area with thick hair
- You cannot use it in the shower
- Takes ages to charge, that can be annoying
- Charging cord is quite short so it’s hard to use it while charging
- Can result in a few skin nicks
Final Thoughts
JTrim SilkTouch is a simple and cheap device. It’s definitely the best electric razor for women who only want to spend 10 bucks or so.
